Every installer has been there. The drawing indicates the VRF branch pipe goes here but the beam or the duct or the wall says otherwise. That’s usually when a project stays on schedule or starts bleeding a day to field-made elbows and more brazing joints than anyone anticipated for. On this point the HIT Series was developed on. A configuration of Exact Bend that allows the refrigerant stream to run right through as opposed to the customary detour a standard Y or U type branch joint necessitates. There is less copper to cut, less brazing of joints, and the installer has less time fighting the building and more time finishing the project.

All this is for naught if the joint itself is not trustworthy. Each HIT Series unit is precision made, brazed under a nitrogen purge to assure that copper-oxide scale never forms inside the line, and hydrostatically pressure tested at 5.2 MPa before it leaves the factory. This is proof, not promise, that it holds. Each item has its own traceability marking so that any fitting may be traced back to its batch and QC record months or years after installation by a consultant or contractor.
