Our FAQ'S

Who is 227 Enterprise?

227 Enterprise manufactures and exports copper components for the HVAC-R industry. Since 2010, we have focused on the parts inside VRF and refrigeration systems: branch piping kits, Refnet and Y-joints, headers and precision copper fittings. Today we run three manufacturing units in Gujarat, India, and supply OEMs and contractors in more than 35 countries.

What products do you make?

Our range covers more than 120 products in four families:

  • VRF branch piping kits and Y-joints
  • Refrigerant headers
  • Copper components: Y-fittings, tees, strainers, mufflers, distributors, stubs and tubular assemblies
  • EPS, NBR and XLPE insulation to go with these parts

If what you need isn't in our catalogue, we can build it into your drawing.

Will your branch piping kits work with my VRF system?

In most cases, yes. We make branch kits in more than 15 series, each matched to the dimensions and pressure requirements of a leading VRF or VRV platform. Send us your indoor and outdoor unit model numbers, and we will confirm the right kit before you order.

Can you manufacture our own drawings?

Yes, and custom work is a large part of what we do. Share your drawing, or the key details: number of branches, tube diameters, lengths, port spacing, wall thickness and insulation needs. Our engineers will check it for manufacturability, suggest changes where they would improve the part, and send you a quote. If you don't have a drawing yet, describe the application and we will develop the design with you.

What copper do you use?

We use BIS-certified copper tubes, and every lot is checked before it enters production. The material has the purity, consistent wall thickness and corrosion resistance a refrigerant circuit needs over many years of service.

How are your joints brazed?

The brazing alloy depends on the part. Our VRF branch piping kits are brazed with BCuP-6, a 2% silver copper-phosphorus rod. Headers and our other copper assemblies are brazed with 5% silver rods. All brazing is done under a nitrogen purge, with induction brazing where the part suits it. The nitrogen keeps oxide scales from forming inside the joint. That matters because scale can travel through the system and damage compressors and expansion valves.

If your 5% silver rods are also to the AWS standard, their designation is BCuP-3. You could name it the same way, as "BCuP-3, a 5% silver rod", so the two alloys read consistently. I dropped the earlier line about not needing flux, since it is simpler to leave out now that the answer covers two alloys.

How do you test your products?

We test every component in-house before dispatch, not just a sample from each batch. Each part is leak-tested and pressure-tested at 5.2 MPa, then inspected against its drawing for dimensions. What reaches your site is ready to install.

How do you keep quality consistent from one order to the next?

Every part follows a documented production route, from tube cutting and forming through brazing, testing and packing. Our own tool room builds and maintains the fixtures that hold tolerances. Where we can, we hydroform branch shapes from a single tube, which means fewer joints and fewer places a leak could start. Once you approve a sample, every repeat order is made the same way.

What certifications do you hold?

227 Enterprise is ISO certified. Our products carry CE marking, comply with RoHS, and hold CMI certification. You can download copies from our website, or ask our sales team to send them.

Which countries do you export to?

We supply customers in more than 35 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. We have been a supplier to OEMs in Japan for over a decade, a market known for some of the strictest quality expectations in the industry.

How are export orders packed and shipped?

Components are packed in sealed, export-grade packaging that keeps them clean and protected in transit. Our logistics team prepares the shipping documents and works to the delivery terms agreed in your order.

Who are your typical customers?

We work with OEMs, HVAC contractors and installers, MEP consultants, distributors, aftermarket suppliers and custom system builders. Some order standard kits in volume, and others need a single part developed from scratch.

Can we order samples before a bulk order?

Yes. Most new customers want to check fit and finish before committing to volume, and we encourage it. Tell our sales team which part you need, and we will arrange samples and confirm any costs up front.

What are your minimum order quantities and lead times?

Both depend on the product and the volume. Standard catalogue items move quickly. Custom parts take longer, because they go through development and sample approval before production. We confirm the MOQ and delivery schedule in writing with every quotation, and our production planning handles both large OEM programs and smaller custom batches.
